The possible tours from Bruneck are many and varied, with easy round trips and more difficult routes for experienced cyclists. It doesn’t matter whether you are a cyclist, a passionate mountain biker, an enthusiastic e-biker or a daring downhiller: there is a lot for everyone in our beautiful region of the Dolomites. In addition, there is an extensive network of valley cycle paths between Lienz in Austria and Percha – Bruneck offering fun for all the family. These cycle routes can be combined with travel by train, meaning that you can choose to take the train back to your starting point if you wish.
Experience the ultimate feeling of freedom when biking at Plan de Corones/Kronplatz. A legendary ski mountain in winter and a meeting place for enthusiastic free riders and downhillers in summer – we’re talking about Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, of course. Six speedy descents lead from the top of our local mountain down to the valley: the easy Gassl route to Olang, the two medium-difficulty trails from Piz de Plaies to St. Vigil and from the summit of the Plan de Corones/Kronplatz to Passo Furcia/Furkelpass, the difficult Herrnsteig as well as the Korer Trail and the Andreas Trail to Reischach.
Mountain bikes, E-MTB (Fully or Hardtrail) and numerous other bikes of all categories and sizes can be rented as our guest at a reduced rate. The bike you want can be ordered from reception by simply telling us your height up to the day before and our rental partner will deliver it directly to the hotel and pick it up again free of charge.
As our guest, you receive a 10% discount (from 3 days 20-50%) and an additional insurance: In the event that the bike or a tire breaks down, simply call the green number and you will be picked you up free of charge and get a new bike.
Circular tour around Bruneck: The tour leads around the town of Bruneck starting from Percha. This round trip offers an impressive overview of the lie of the town and also of the mountains of the Dolomites and Zillertal Alps. At 26 km the route is not very long, but it demands a certain level of fitness in order to be able to overcome the 725 m of climbs.
From Percha to Lake Antholz: From Percha, follow the cycle path around Olang into the Anterselva/Antholz valley, which takes you past the tranquil villages of Niederrasen, Oberrasen, and Antholz Niedertal. Continue along the asphalt road via Antholz Mittertal and Antholz Obertal to Lake Antholz, a true natural jewel that will enchant you. Lenght: 48km Difficulty: medium
Tesselberg: Starting from Percha the route heads towards Olang and then upwards to the town’s mountain ridge. You’ll be rewarded with a fabulous view over the town, the Kronplatz and the best known mountains in the Dolomites. Route is 28 km long with 890 metres of climbs.
Herzlalm: Starting from Percha to Reischach, from where the route leads over the woody northern slope to the cultivated Herzl Alp where visitors are invited to pause for a while. At almost 20 km in distance and relatively low height differences the trip is also suitable for less well-practiced cyclists.
If you would prefer to ride in a more leisurely fashion, we recommend the cycle trail from Bruneck to Sand in Taufers (15 km) and from Reischach via Riedwald forest to Niederolang (8 km).
