Architecture in harmony with nature
The Alpin Hotel Sonnblick was generously expanded and redesigned in three construction phases in 2013, 2015 and 2018. Our goal was a modern and at the same time sustainable architecture, in harmony with nature, but also in harmony with South Tyrolean tradition and our landscape.
For this reason we have decided to build our hotel on Kronplatz in solid wood.
Solid solid wood reflects the perfection of nature as a building material and stands for environmental friendliness and ecology like no other construction method. As our guest, you will notice the healthy living environment.
We used local building materials such as larch and spruce wood for the cladding. In addition, we have brought the sun into the house through the numerous large window fronts - a lot of natural light floods the rooms and at the same time the entire hotel is triple-glazed and optimally soundproofed. The electrical lines have been well installed and shielded in all rooms, so that there is a pleasant living environment, free of electrosmog. The combination of biological building materials and simple design, sustainable construction and modern accents creates an ambience that is both inviting and elegant.
We have been using solar energy since 2022 and can therefore cover part of our energy requirements ourselves.
